Shields Up! Prayer Ministry

“Every word of God is flawless;

He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.”

Proverbs 30:5

After completing a recent study on the Armor of God (by Priscilla Shirer), it became apparent to me how important it is for our church ~~ the community of believers ~~ to pray for others.  There is definitely an ongoing battle between God and Satan.  Satan attacks believers with every fiery dart possible to prevent victory in Jesus. 

Some time ago the Lord gifted me with the desire to talk to Him in prayer on behalf of others.  There are so many people who need prayers in the middle of challenging life situations.  There are so many people needing prayer that one person is unable to accomplish the task.

The Lord blessed me with the idea to have a prayer ministry that lifts others up and stands in the gap to SHIELD them from those fiery darts when they are weak or unable to pray.  Thus, the ministry of “Shields Up!” formed.  It was divine inspiration that led me to seek the help of Pam Forsyth in the design for “SHIELDS UP!”  He also provided the scripture from
Proverbs 30:5. 

The next step is to ask others to join in this ministry of prayer.  Just think what God could do with a whole group of prayer warriors for those in need! 

If you have been given the gift of prayer and feel the Lord is asking you to help SHIELD others, please call me.  I promise the Lord is faithful and provides the words for the prayers in even the most difficult times others are faced with.  I will host a tea in the near future to answer questions and to explain how easy this calling is when the Lord is on your side!  Be looking for a date and time soon.  And I will share the awesome experiences He has provided.  SHIELDS UP!!
